Jessica Langelaan - Project Manager, Consulting Services
As Project Manager, Consulting Services, Jessica Langelaan is responsible for the development and implementation of the greenhouse gas inventory methodology, managing the GHG inventory calculations for all Event projects as well as helping organizations with events to develop strategies to reduce their overall GHG emissions.
Jessica Langelaan is the lead consultant for The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and is working to develop the GHG inventory methodology and revise the carbon footprint of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This project has an anticipated carbon footprint of 300,000 metric tonnes of CO2 equivalent and has required skillful analysis of the operations and the development of methodology to accurately forecast scope 1, scope 2 and significant scope 3 emissions. With numerous venues located in both urban and rural mountainous areas, over 80 participation countries and hundreds of thousands of spectators from around the world, Jessica provided the necessary balance of analytical expertise and strong research skills to guide the project.
Jessica has a Master of Business Administration from the Sauder School of Business at UBC and a Bachelor of Science, Food, Nutrition and Health from UBC. Back to Staff
