Offsetters Helps The Co-operative Housing Federation of BC Become Carbon Neutral

Vancouver, B.C. – Offsetters was selected to provide high quality carbon offsets to the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) to help the organization become carbon neutral.

To achieve carbon neutral status, CHF BC calculated its greenhouse gas emissions with the help of Vancity, Ecotrust Canada and the Pembina Institute. Offsetters then thoroughly reviewed the emissions report and provided high quality carbon offsets for what CHF BC could not reduce. As part of the offset process, CHF BC invested significant effort in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions of day-to-day operations such as implementing paper reduction strategies and improving on-site recycling.
