Working within the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport, the British Columbia 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat (BC Secretariat) is the provincial agency responsible for overseeing British Columbia’s Winter Games financial commitments and ensuring our Olympic vision is achieved.

BC Hydro

In its role as an Official Supporter of the 2010 Winter Games, BC Hydro will provide the resources to supply clean power for the 2010 Winter Games. In addition, through its Power Smart programs, BC Hydro will work with VANOC to ensure the Games are energy-efficient and promote energy conservation across BC.

BCLC (British Columbia Lottery Corporation)

BCLC is the Official Lottery and Gaming provider to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

Bell is the exclusive Telecommunications Partner to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. Bell is Canada's largest communications company, providing consumers with solutions to all their communications needs, including: telephone services, wireless communications, high-speed Internet, digital television and voice-over IP.

Birks is the Official Supplier of Jewellery Products to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

Bombardier

Bombardier has joined the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) as an Official Supporter of the 2010 Winter Games and a Signature Supporter of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays. As part of their sponsorship, Bombardier will manufacture the torches for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays and two ceremony cauldrons– one at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver and the other at the Whistler Medals Plaza.

Hudson's Bay Company

The Hudson's Bay Company is Canada's oldest company and largest department store retailer. In addition to offering the hottest 2010 fashions, the Hudson's Bay Company is also the coolest in joining the Carbon Partner Program and voluntarily offsetting the carbon emissions of their Granville Street Olympic Superstore operations from October 1, 2009 to March 30, 2010.

Hudson's Bay Company is a Premier National Partner and the General Retail Merchant of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games and Official Outfitter of the Canadian Olympic Team. In partnership with VANOC, Hudson's Bay Company is designing and manufacturing 12,000 Olympic torchbearer and 30,000 Games-time workforce uniforms; it will also be outfitting both the Vancouver and Whistler athletes' villages. The company also retails a collection of 2010 Canadian Olympic Team apparel to the public and sells the largest assortment of Vancouver 2010 licensed merchandise through its 600+ stores.

ICBC

As a proud 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games sponsor, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) is doing more than just selling Winter Games licence plates in support of our Canadian Olympic athletes and the 2010 Winter Games. ICBC is also providing the motor vehicle insurance to VANOC's fleet of vehicles, and through our 2010 Road Safety Plan ICBC is promoting safe and responsible driving habits to all Games-time guests.

Port Metro Vancouver partnered with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and Offsetters to voluntarily offset carbon emissions created by Games-time activities. They are committed to sustainability to benefit and strengthen business and community interests, while supporting their national mandate to benefit all Canadians. We partnered with the VANOC because we have shared values around sustainability.

Port Metro Vancouver was awarded a Sustainability Star by VANOC for contributing to the BC Hydrogen Highway initiative. By showcasing the development of hydrogen and fuel cell technology, they joined other collaborators, including the Government of Canada, Province of BC, City of West Vancouver, and BC Hydro, in realizing a clean energy future for transportation and logistics.

Samsung's involvement with the Olympic Games began in 1988, when it became a local sponsor for the Seoul 1988 Olympic Summer Games. Teck Resources is the Official Mining and Metals provider for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. It is the exclusive supplier of the metal that will be used in the production of every competition medal for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Visa is a Worldwide Olympic Sponsor, and the exclusive card and the official payment system of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. Visa's Olympic sponsorship began in 1986; since then it has sponsored six Olympic Summer Games and six Olympic Winter Games. .
